Geir Strøm is Director of the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme and he has a MBA from the Norwegian school of economics. He has been working in the administration of universities since 1986 and has thus a long experience as administrator of higher education and research from different positions and institutions in Norway. He has been active in Norwegian and Nordic university administration networks. In SAR he has been active in the portal partners forum to the SAR Research Catalogue.

Geir Strøm is elected as a board member for the period from 2017 to 2019. From 2018 to 2019, he has been endorsed by the General Assembly as First Vice President/Treasurer.
